The Kids Zone in 2026 Will Be Better Than Ever!

Children and adults gather under a red canopy next to an inflatable play structure at an outdoor event on a sunny day.

The West Seattle Junction Summer Fest is open to everyone, and especially children! Don’t worry parents, there will be plenty of fun for the little ones in your family. Take that big sigh of relief as you send your kids off to a safe, exciting and welcoming Kids Zone. This year, the kids will have a street all to themselves and the opportunity stay engaged with countless activities.

To squeeze out the kid’s energy, the Kids Zone will feature multiple inflatable bouncy houses, a giant slide and a not-so-easy obstacle course. If the kids have a knack for sports, consider joining the Seattle Reign in the sports area to shoot hoops and score goals. Children will also be able to catch a ride with Woom and ride a bike around the event grounds.

Wanting to beat the summer heat and wage war on your friends and family? Then come check out the Foam Party. Located in the Junction Plaza Park, this area is a massive zone dedicated to getting wet, throwing bubbles at one another and dancing around.

For those looking to relax, the Kids Zone has a wide variety of hands-on activities to keep the mind engaged. Have you been dying to try out the latest tech? If so, the Seattle robotics club will be stationed in the area with robots that will be ready to be played with.

If gaming is more your speed, there will be an open arcade area with all sorts of fun games. Lastly, Craft Labs will be hosting a tent where you can build anything and take home something special.

No matter what kind of activity you are into, the Summer Fest Kids Zone has it all. Want to get in on the action? Head to SW Alaska St. near the SE gate during Summer Fest to get involved. For access to all activities, parents will need to purchase a $20 all-day wristband for their children.
